Never enough time (at the beach or otherwise)

Honestly? I had fully intended to blog about my vacation in Cape May this summer. In fact, I have been saving great memes to share with my posts.

And after being here for a few days, I kept thinking, oh I need to update the blog. But you see, I also keep a beach journal or diary (but I really don't call it a diary) and I usually write my "blog post" there and then just type it up for CapeMayChick.

But between my internship at Cape May Magazine, my externship for GMU/in relation to the internship and just general laziness, I haven't been in the mood to blog. Not even for my Sandpiper Cat blog, which is super bad of me because I was just at BlogPaws.

I'M A TERRIBLE BLOGGER! There, I admitted it. I'm also terrible at sarcasm in the written word. Trying here...!

But, if I was blogging about what I've done here so far (in a week, HOW HAS IT BEEN A WEEK - yes I am shouting at YOU)...it would look like this:

  • Drove here (third solo driving trip - and technically the 2nd in a month)
  • Went to the Strawberry Festival with Lori & Mara
  • Beach walk with Lori & Mara
  • Visited with the neighbors
  • Found 3 pieces of beach glass (1 big, 2/3 small)
  • Baked cookies
  • Worked 4 days at my internship
  • Written a 5 page paper & blog post for externship
  • Finished 3 books
  • Went to the regular beach (once, I am so lame so far)
  • Visited kitties and kittens at Animal Outreach
  • Binged on season 1 of Orange is the New Black (#behindinlife)
  • Visited the vet for a check up (not for me, but the neighbor's dog).
  • Scrapbooked half of my trip to Nashville
So instead of a week's worth of posts describing in excruciating detail what I have done each day, here is a condensed list.

I'm really enjoying my time here, especially without my family. Don't get me wrong, I do miss them and speak to my mom every day - but the solitude of living alone for 2 weeks after 21 years (almost 21.5) living with my family, is a nice break. No one to tell me I'm talking too loud. So I can sing at the top of my lungs and (hopefully the neighbors) don't hear.

Side note - was just reading a post from last summer and the theme was definitely the summer of singing in the house. My singing voice is terrible, something I admit openly and yet I still sing out loud. Just usually not when anyone is around.

So anyway, here is a week's worth of updates. Hope you enjoy!

And I promise (but don't hold me to it, I may be watching OITNB for the next 4 weeks here) but I will try to post periodically!

CapeMayChick

End of Beach Time

I woke up around 9:30 am and got up at 10 am. Early for me. I packed and loaded my car for what felt like forever. I went to the Exit Zero store and bought the new Cool Cape May book and renewed our magazine subscription. I went down to the mall - what a zoo. Bought some taffy and peanut butter.

I picked up mom and dropped her off at Louie's to pick up cheesesteaks and onion rings for lunch. We ate on the porch even though it was hot. I put a few more things in the car and took a shower. I brought cookies I had baked to the neighbors and said goodbye to my neighbor Denise.

We left about 4 pm for the 4:45 pm ferry. It was crowded, so naturally the ferry was delayed leaving and didn't depart until about 5 pm. It was a smooth ride. We got off around 6:20 pm and I drove (dad as my co-pilot) to Jimmy's Grille for dinner. We had great fried chicken and brought home a slice of cake & pie for dessert.

We stopped I think 2-3 times on the way home. Dad drove from Jimmy's. There was a crazy/rogue crop duster plane flying over us and it seriously looked like it was going to crash because it was dusting the crops and took nose dives and it was just insane to be watching and trying to drive at the same time. I hate planes.

My brother took this picture from my mom's car. Crazy!
We got home around 11 pm. Unloaded a little bit and spent a lot of time playing with the kitties! I've missed them so much. Tomorrow (Saturday) we will unpack and go to the food store.

I went to bed so late, after 2 pm.

I'll be back in Cape May in September and I will try to blog then. I can't wait...2 1/2 months!

Kerplink, Kerplank, Kerplunk....Thurs-Sun update!

Thursday June 19 --

Bill was here this morning. I got up and went to work. I took a subscription, phone calls and typed up a manuscript. I left around 12:40 pm and went to Hot Dog Tommy's for a slaw dog and summer shower (mashed potatoes with cheese, bacon, and sou
r cream).

Then I went to Walmart for miscellaneous things and went to the Lobster House on the way back. I finished Top Secret Twenty-One by Janet Evanovich, one of the funniest ones of late. I read on the porch and then my neighbor Denise came over and we sat on the porch for a while.

Before & after weeding

The cleaners came and I went down to Sunset Beach and then came home and made stuffed shells for dinner. Pulled out some weeds and showered. I watched Honey Boo Boo and Kate Plus 8 special. I watched all of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2. Man, I"m always such a hot, crying mess after that movie! So many good people die.

Friday June 20 --

Poster and T.T.

I was super lazy today, even though I was up at 10 am, I stayed in bed until noon. Then I talked to mom for a while. I had a pork roll sandwich for brunch. I went to Animal Outreach from 1:40 pm to 5:40 pm, 4 hours! Time flies there.
Charlie
Halle Berry

I came home, cleaned off the adirondack chairs and put them out back. I made pigs in a blanket for dinner and watched Switched at Birth on my laptop. I walked down to the boardwalk and got some candy from Fudge Kitchen. I came home and watched Say Yes to the Dress and I Found the Gown. Showered and watched Pitch Perfect in bed.

Saturday June 21 --

I was lazy again this morning and stayed in bed until 11:30 am. I got up and had a big bowl of cheerios and banana. I went to the Acme to food shop for when everyone comes up on Monday. I came home and had sushi for lunch.

I made up all the beds. I read the rest of Brunette Ambition by Lea Michele on the porch. I started So Inn Love by Catherine Clarke. I read on the porch for a long time. I made the most delicious white chocolate macadamia nut blondies. So good! Had mac and cheese for dinner. Went down to Brooklyn beach for a little bit. Read more on the porch.

Watched My Cat From Hell and then went to bed. Going to Stone Harbor tomorrow. Family comes in 2 days!

Sunday June 22 --

I was good this morning and got up at 10 am and went in to Stone Harbor. I went to the Farmer's Market and got tomatoes and blueberries. Kerplink, kerplank, kerplunk (that's for you, mom & dad). I had breakfast at Uncle Bill's - scrapple, homefries, toast and eggs. Then I went to Blue Eden and picked up some lotion and bought beach glass earrings!

I stopped at the Amish Market in Wildwood on the way home. I finished So Inn Love in the kitchen. Then I started Time Traveling Fashionista. Then I baked lemon bars and went to Poverty Beach for two hours, which was super relaxing.

I came home and used the outdoor shower (yay! I love the outdoor shower) for the first time this summer. Jenn came and we went to the Ugly Mug and shared a salad and crab meat. We went shopping, which is always fun. I got a pretty headband to wear for work, so my hair looks nice when I wear it up.

I came home, cleaned up and got ready for bed. Watched Sisterwives and Breaking Amish.

SO excited that Mom, Dad, Michael & Marc are coming up tomorrow :)

3 weeks of solitude and singing as loud as I want, are coming to a close.

Let there be fire!

I had to get up early this morning to let the fireplace guy inside. I got up at 8:15 am and chilled on the couch before he came around 9 am. Bill came too and worked hard on painting things.

I watched the rest of One for the Money on the porch. It was so hot and humid outside, getting even hotter.

I scrapbooked and ate lunch after everyone left. I read Top Secret Twenty-One on the couch for a while. Then I ran to the bank, CVS and Duckie's Farm Market.

I came home and read more. I prepared cookie dough - Sea Salt Dark Chocolate Chip Cookies, um YUM! I made pancakes and a pork roll omelette (I think the first omelette I've ever made). I baked the cookies, even had a little dough left over.

I watched Melissa & Joey, Baby Daddy, Graceland and Catfish. Showered & off to bed. Work tomorrow.

Two Dollar Taco Tuesday

Today it was hard to get up this morning. I got out of bed and got dressed. Bill was working on the house. I had the rest of my delicious smoothie for breakfast. I got into work and there wasn't much going on. I was given a manuscript to type up, which is going to take a while.

I went to the Acme for some groceries before coming home around 12:30 pm. I watched Sister Wives, finished my book (The Year of Mistaken Discoveries by Eileen Cook).

I got Big Wave Burritos for dinner - $2 taco Tuesday so that means fish tacos! I supplemented with beans and a salad. I practiced my ukulele then I watched Pretty Little Liars, Chasing Life and Awkward.

I took a quick shower and got ready for bed, early morning tomorrow with the fireplace people coming. I watched One for the Money in bed.

Monday morning too early

Bill came this morning around 9:30 am, which was good because I needed to get up then. I ate a waffle and went off to work. I looked over some layouts and edited an article. I came home and it was too hot in the porch so I sat inside and practiced the Harry Potter theme song on my ukulele.

I went to the beach and swam for 30-40 minutes and read over an hour. Afterward I came home and made the most amazing strawberry-banana smoothie with fresh Jersey strawberries, a banana, Fage yogurt, sugar and vanilla. Oh and ice! It was incredible.

I was invited to our neighbor's house for dinner, the Keenans. It was nice to see them and catch up.

I came home and watched TV and went to bed.

Mom, Can I Buy a Ukulele?

I was going to get up at 10 am this morning so that I could get errands done and go to the beach but that didn't happen. I got up a little after noon and talked to mom for a while.

I ate my leftover Chinese food for lunch and then went to the Acme to get some groceries. I unloaded my groceries and then made some cards while watching The West Wing. Then I took a shower and got ready to go out to diner with my cousins.

It didn't take long on the Garden State Parkway to get to Ocean City. We went to Roberta's by Joe Muldoons for dinner. I ate with Barbara, Murray and Jenn. It was a fancy restaurant and really nice. We had scallops and mussels as apps. I even tried a mussel. I ordered the crabcakes and it came with arugula salad and roasted potatoes. It was very good.

We shared chocolate sushi, gelato and a peanut butter bomb for dessert. We finished around 8 pm so Jenn and I went to the Ocean City boardwalk afterwards. We went shopping! At Terry Ivory I got a cute charm and at White Palm I got a yellow pineapple print ukulele and another necklace charm! I picked up some postcards too.

It was a fun night. I got home a little before midnight and took a shower before getting in to bed.

Yard Sale Saturday

Bill, our handy man came early this morning to work on the house. At an hour that I was still very much dead to the world. I got up around 10:30 am. I got up and ate a sandwich and started lugging out yard sale stuff.

The yardsale
I sold a lot of different things for a total of $11 to one lady. Then an hour or so later another group came buy and bought two things for $2. And a little while before I packed up, someone bought a pretty box for $5! So I made a total of $18 for a whole lotta junk!

I read two magazines and The Heiresses by Sara Shepard during the yard sale. Then I ran to CVS. I came home and cleaned up. I ordered Cape Orient for dinner and ate the Chinese food on the porch. I started my new book. Today I got a letter from my mom, the cats and my grandma Zelda.

I watched Nancy Drew the movie in bed before going to sleep.

Wed/Thurs/Fri update

Wednesday June 11 --

I got up today around 9:45 am. I made my lunch and breakfast. It was raining when I went into work. I answered phone calls, took subscriptions and looked over layout. I left around 12:30 pm and stopped in a few stores. I went to the Acme for some food for dinner.

I came home and read Pretty Little Liars: Toxic on the porch. I took a nap and then read more of the book. I had ham, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes and broccoli for dinner. I watched Melissa and Joey, Baby Daddy and watched Graceland. At midnight I watched Throwback Thursday on Disney Channel which was an episode of Even Stevens.

Thursday June 12 --

I woke up around 10:30 am but I talked on the phone with mom for over an hour before getting out of bed. For lunch I had a sandwich and read my book and new cookbook on the porch. I did some blogging. I went down to the beach, it was totally empty at Poverty. It was drizzling. I found one moonie shell.

I came home and organized the yard sale stuff. I had leftover dinner from last night and watched The West Wing. I used a recipe from my new book, to make chunky peanut butter cookies. I showered and watched Catfish.

Friday the 13th --

Today I got up around 10:30 am and got dressed. I had a waffle for breakfast. My ipsy glam bag and some photos I ordered came. I left to go to the Amish Market in Wildwood. It was so cool. I had a grilled cheese panini and philly potato salad. I went to Blue Eden in Stone Harbor after that.

I talked with my friend Caroline and then went into a few shops.

I came home and stopped at a farm stand on the way back. Bought some Jersey fresh strawberries and bananas.

I went to Animal Outreach and hung out with some of the cats. Then I came home and vacuumed and then took a shower.

Made crepes from my new cook book for dinner - they were great!

Watched my TLC bridal shows and got ready for bed.

Yard sale tomorrow!

On the Mend

I'm surprised how good I've been about getting up for work. I was a little late on getting up but I made it in by 10:30 am. I answered the phone and did some copy editing. I left at noon and had lunch then went back to the urgent care for the recheck.

Turns out my bite is healing nicely and I will be okay! Though, I did have to get a tetanus shot...that was fun. I can't believe I got a shot without my mom holding my hand. Woo.

I went to Michael's craft store in Rio Grande and got some really fun and cool scrapbooking stuff. I went into Bed, Bath and Beyond and got some adorable blue fish sheets -- my old sheets were falling apart.

I came home and read my new Pretty Little Liars book. I got Big Wave Burrito for dinner. They were out of fish so I had the chicken tacos. Yum.

I ate on the porch and then went upstairs to watch Pretty Little Liars...talk about double confusion with the show and the book which are on a totally different track!

Just your average day

At work, wearing my new necklace.
Today I got up around 9:45 am and got ready for work. I made my breakfast and lunch to go. I finished up my article at work, the first draft. I got to answer the phone so that was cool.

I went to CVS to get some gauze for my cut. I went to Exit Zero to pick up the paper magazine and see the store. I came home and read on the porch for a long time. Yesterday I finished reading "Since You've Been Gone" by Morgan Matson and today I started "Broken Hearts, Fences and other things to mend" by Katie Finn (who is coincidentally also Morgan Matson)!

I scrapbooked and watched The West Wing before making dinner. I had macaroni and cheese and edamame. After dinner I decided to go down to the beach for a walk. It was beautiful out and I had a nice time.

I drove by Animal Outreach on my way home and hung out there for a while before the volunteers left. Someone came in and had some cake pops so that was awesome, I took them home.

I came home and showered, watched 16 & Pregnant and headed to bed.

Tomorrow I will go for a check up at the urgent care.

Now it's really vacation...

Today's post is going to be extremely short because I don't feel much like typing...

I had to go to urgent care because of some deep cuts on my arm. I was worried about an infection. The urgent care was fast and efficient. I was out in 45 minutes.

They put some antibacterial ointment on my arm and wrapped it in gauze. They gave me a prescription for antibiotics to make sure that the wound doesn't get infected. Fortunately I had the foresight to deal with this today and not wake up to an infection in the morning!

I got the prescription filled at CVS and picked up a magazine and some make up. I needed new concealer/tinted SPF lotion because the antibiotic I'm taking will make me more sensitive to the sun. This way I will have SPF in my concealer which is great.

I baked some cookies when I came home, rested on the porch and watched some TV. Tomorrow I have my internship, so that will keep me busy!

Strawberry Festival 2014

I woke up really late this morning, so I had a late start. I had a waffle and relaxed on the porch until Lori and Mara got here. We went to the Strawberry Festival. I did the most amazing parallel parking job there so I was very impressed with myself.

We had fresh squeezed lemonade, empanadas from Empanada Mama's, and ice cream from Bliss. I bought a cute vintage princess phone that matches one of the real rotary phones that we have. Super cute and not a bad price at $8 (it was $8.50 but I bargained).  We came back to the house and relaxed a little bit before heading down to the promenade. We walked all along the tents on the boardwalk to see all the crafts - there was a craft festival this weekend. I bought a beaded bracelet that says Cape May on it. I got one last year that I really loved.
The big phone is real and works, the little toy is the one I bought today.

We went on the beach and we sat there for about 2 hours. I read "Since You've Been Gone" by Morgan Matson. I was on page 60 when I started and read all the way through page 239! It is a great read. I'll probably finish the book in the next day or two.

We were pretty hungry after sitting in the sun for a few hours so we ate at Angelo's - which is in the old Henry's on the Beach restaurant spot. I miss Henry's so much, it is the place our kitty Henry is named for. I had fish 'n chips, it was pretty good. Not Henry's, that's for sure.

Perfect beach day.
We stopped in Fudge Kitchen on the way back to the house (do you know they're having a special? I can recite it forwards and backwards I know it so well, after all I have spent the last 20 summers of my life here).

We sat on the porch for a while and enjoyed the breeze. It was such a nice day! I had a great time with Lori and Mara as I always do. I can't believe I have been here for a full week. Time is flying. Everyone else will be up in 2 weeks, so I will savor the next two weeks alone! I'm not lonely, I'm really enjoying my time here. I know it will be done before I'm ready.

It's not vacation unless I trip & fall

Last night I was so good and went to bed around midnight. That is so early for me. I woke up around 10:30 am. I talked to mom for a while and then had lunch. I went to Animal Outreach and was there for two hours. They want me to help with their hours to keep the center open more to help out with adoptions. So awesome.

Owen :)
I came home and swept all the sand and leaves off the front porch. I also quick vac'ed the floors downstairs so that the house would be a little cleaner. I took a shower and then left to get gas (yes, Jersey Girls don't pump gas...though I could've done a better job than the attendant who didn't listen to me and put regular instead of premium in my car...).

I drove up 25 exits to Ocean City (NJ, not MD) to visit my cousin Jenn. We ate dinner at Tokyo Mandarin and it was so good! I had an egg roll, angry crab rangoon, shrimp tempura sushi and avocado-cucumber kani salad. It was great and very different than what I've had before. I totally tripped on the curb (yes I trip going up steps) going into the store and wiped out. Seriously? I'm a klutz. I went to the urgent care here for tripping in Cape May three summers ago and I don't intend a repeat visit.

We went to Blue Eden for the Ocean City store opening. Blue Eden is run by my friend Caroline. The store was beautiful and laid out so nicely. The store carries Kut clothing, a brand sold in Nordstroms as well as beautiful beach glass jewelry made by local NJ jewelry artists and Sea Foam Soap Company soaps, sugar scrubs and lotions -- made by Caroline, who uses her grandmother's recipe. They are the most amazing products and you will never want to go back to drug store products after using hers!

I bought a gorgeous beach glass necklace and some mini soaps.

We entered in some raffles and I found out that both Jenn and I won - Jenn won a beautiful beach glass necklace and a local coffee shop giftcard and I won some hair products.

After Blue Eden we went across the street to Stainton's, which sells lots of different products from tons of different sellers. I got a cool little easel with a beach saying "Eat. sleep. beach" and a present for my dad for father's day.

I came home and talked to my all of my grandparents, Michael and mom on the phone before going to bed. Tomorrow is a busy day with the Strawberry Festival.

Cat-WithDrawl, Rachel Shubin MD

Henry
I officially diagnosed myself with cat withdrawal yesterday. So I was super ecstatic to go to Animal Outreach this morning. I spent 11:30 am - 2:30 pm there.

Titi!

For lunch I had a pork roll sandwich, and crab fingers. Then I went to Higbee's Beach. I also ended up at Sunset beach while I was looking for something else. At least they had a bathroom there. They have the most amazing gift shop, lots of cute cat things! I could've bought way more than I did, but I just got a really cute natural life wallet.
Kiara
I went on sunset beach and even found a piece of green beach glass (plastic??). I drove by the light house and then went home. I chilled on the porch and then I took a shower. I had tortellini for dinner and a salad.

The SS Atlantus aka The Concrete Ship on Sunset Beach
I skyped with mom, grandpa and grandma but someone's camera was being wiggy and I couldn't see them but they could see me!

Sugary goodness

Today it was hard to get out of bed. When I finally did, I just got dressed and ate a quick breakfast and packed my lunch for work.

I worked on an article and did some copy editing. I got to leave early at 12:30 pm and went into Fudge Kitchen to get some fudge - I work above it and can smell the sugary goodness wafting into the office. I looked in Henry's and Good Scents. At Splash I got a ladybug ring that was 50% off!

I went to the Lobster house and bought crab fingers. Yum. I came home and scrapbooked while watching The West Wing. I baked "Vegan cookie brittle" because the recipe didn't come out quite right. I had hot dogs in blankets for dinner, crab fingers, leftover rice, salad and strawberries.

I watched my TV shows (Melissa & Joey, Baby Daddy and Catfish). Took a shower, skyped with mom and had fudge before going to bed. I watched Disney Channel's Throw Back Thursday showing of the Kim Possible: A Stitch in Time movie, which was great.

Technical Difficulties -- back online

SO sorry for no posts the last few days. My blog wasn't working but now it's up and here are updates.

Sunday June 1 --

Today I had a turkey/cheese sandwich on the porch. Then I went to Duckie's to get flowers. I bought two pink geraniums and some fresh strawberries. I spent a good portion of the day reading The Taking by Kimberly Derting. I put the oven racks in the oven and baked my cookies. I went to the mall afterwards and bought some pins at Across the Way.

I had tortellini and green beans for dinner and I also watched The West Wing. I ordered some nail polish Jenn came by. We walked to the mall. I got a pretty lace, peach colored scarf at Red Oak Trading. We had mango sorbet from Bliss and then came back. I watched Breaking Amish and went to bed.

Monday June 2 --

Today I got up and went to Cape May Magazine, where I am interning. I got to meet my new boss and talk about plans for my summer work. I came home and had Taylor Pork Roll sandwich for lunch. I went to the beach for about 45 minutes and finished my Professor's book, The Admiral's Daughter. I'm doing social media for her book as my other internship, so you can check the Facebook page out here.

I also read the new June issue of the Cape May Magazine. I showered and had a snack on the porch. Then I went over to Denise's house for dinner. We had the most delicious Chinese food. I came home and did laundry and dishes. Wrote back to Lindsay (I got a letter from her this morning) and watched the new episode of 16 & Pregnant.

Tuesday June 3 --

Today I got up and showered. I made a turkey, cheese and avocado sandwich to take to work. At work I did some article copy editing and started researching an article that I'm writing. I worked until about 1:15 pm and then went to CVS. Had to pick up some lotion and ice ($2, cheapest ice I could find!). I came home and relaxed.

I had a snack and then went to the post office to get some additional 1 and 5 cent stamps for my post cards. Also mailed some letters. I stopped at my neighbor Barbara's house on the way home and sat with her for a while.

Then I got ready to go to the beach since I knew it was supposed to rain. I went to Poverty beach around 4:30 pm. The water was freezing. So cold, no way can I comprehend the fact that people were actually swimming. I came home and showered after reading on the beach for an hour.

I read some more on the porch - Killer Instinct by S.E. Green. Very good, creepy and captivating. I finished, making it my 4th book in Cape May. I closed the windows and put on the A/C since it started to rain.

I had my Chinese leftovers and also cooked some rice and made a salad to go with everything. I watched 19 Kids and Counting and got ready for my day tomorrow.

Hared to believe I've been here for a few days already!

Summer 2014 - Driving Up By Myself

Friday May 30 --
OMG! I can't believe I drove up by myself! It was a hard drive but I'm so happy to finally be here. I left a bit before 11 am but had to detour when I set the GPS wrong and then I had to pee only like 5 minutes down the road from the house (nervous, much?). I drove the beltway to 50 to the Bowie, MD Barnes and Nobles where I stopped. I kind of freaked out but I kept going and went over the Bay Bridge. I got to Holly's by 12:50 pm. I took most of my turkey club sandwich with me. When I'm really nervous/stressed I can't eat, rarely happens...but sometimes it does.

I stopped in Denton, MD Royal Farms for a break and stopped an hour later at the antique store in Bridgeville, DE to see Diode, the store cat. I stopped again at the Royal Farms before Georgetown and then drove the rest of the way to the ferry. I got to the ferry (Lewes, DE) at 3:46 pm which is perfect for my 4:15 ferry. I stayed in the car until we boarded. I sat most of the way inside reading and closing my eyes. We docked on time and I was home by 5:55 pm. I unpacked and saw the neighbors. I organized my room and unloaded everything.
First sight of Cape May.

I went to the Wawa and had dinner from the Dry Dock. Fried clams were so good! I read The Fault in Our Stars by John Green on the porch and then inside when it got too dark outside. It was very good and I finished the book. I showered, watched I Found the Gown and then went to bed.

Saturday May 31 --

I woke up today around 10:30 but I was lazy and didn't get out of bed until 11:30 am. I had a bowl of special K and left for the Acme. I shopped pretty quickly. Bringing the dry goods up saves both time and money. I had my Dry Dock leftovers and sushi from the Acme for lunch. After lunch I went over to Animal Outreach. I was there for about an hour and a half.

Henry (gray) and Charlie (black - Bobby & Polly's (my cats) brother!)

Jenn was in town and she met me at AO. We went back to the house after and hung out on the porch for a while. When Jenn left I had dinner. Snow crab legs, corn and salad, very good. I went down to Poverty Beach and went for a walk. Only found shells, no beach glass. I checked out the boardwalk shops, came home.

I made a batch of Ree Drummond's Chocolate Chocolate White Chocolate Chip cookies to bake for tomorrow. The dough is in the fridge! Enjoying this vacation already :)

So pretty!
